Chelsea Hotel Series

These paintings feature famous residents of the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan. This historic 250-unit New York City hotel has been the home of numerous writers, musicians, artists, and actors.

This series of acrylic paintings started in 2019 as studies for a larger project. I am interested in portraying a more personal, behind-the-scenes glimpse of residents inside of their apartments, hence the more detailed interiors.
